My first day wasn't all that bad, although I was pretty nervous. I was shown around the stockroom and taught how to use a little handheld scanner, then I had to go about scanning certain items that were on a list, place them on a rack, take them to the shop floor and put the clothes onto their respective hangers.

It's just trying to remember what went where that was the tricky part. That, and after you scan so many items, you have to download the information into the shops' database, which I haven't quite got the hang of yet. Just one of those things you get used to, I guess

I just felt panicky when I was out on the shop floor and, more than once, was approached by a customer looking for a specific item. All I could think of was 'Oh crap, why are you asking me? It's my first day!' Thankfully there was some other staff close by to help me!

All in all, it hasn't been a bad day
